New Databases

Looking for a manual for your "new" used car? Need to learn a new language for your vacation or job?

New online databases will be available to all public and academic libraries in Iowa beginning July 1, 2017.  The new databases include a database of journal articles and reference sources, an auto repair database, a research skills database, and a language & learning database. This package of databases will replace the EBSCOhost database.

The State Library of Iowa in partnership with the Iowa Academic Alliance has awarded a contract for statewide delivery of services to three database vendors. These resources will be available to all public and academic libraries across the state of Iowa per the agreement with these vendors and contracting service through the Iowa Department of Administrative Services. This package will cover four resource areas that offer a wide range of resources that will offer greater utility to public libraries as well as fulfilling academic libraries need for high quality reference and journal resources.

This resource is supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act as administered by State Library of Iowa.
