Join Friends of the Library

Friends of the Library is a nonprofit advocacy organization which supports the Library. Our volunteer members advocate, educate, and raise funds on behalf of the Library, its patrons, and the community.

The purpose of the Friends of the Eldon Library shall be to establish closer relations between the Eldon Public Library and the people it serves; to promote interest in its functions, resources, and services; to stimulate gifts, endowments, and bequests to the library; and to support the development and improvement of the Library's resources and services.

  • How to join - Membership is open to any individual, business firm or group interested in the purpose of the Friends' Organization.  Each membership is entitled to one vote.  Dues are payable annually.
  • Meeting dates and times - The Executive Board meets the third Monday of February, March, May, September and October with meetings open to all members.  An annual meeting of the entire membership is held in April coinciding with National Library Week.
